Please read these terms carefully before using beanz.ug. By using our platform you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the beanz.ug platform (website, mobile app, or any related service), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
beanz.ug is a coffee ordering platform that allows customers in Kampala, Uganda to browse menus, place orders, and pay ahead at partner cafes. We act as a technology intermediary between customers and cafe partners — we do not prepare or deliver food and beverages ourselves.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use beanz.ug. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Orders and Payments
Orders placed through beanz.ug are subject to acceptance by the relevant cafe partner. Prices are set by cafe partners and displayed in Ugandan Shillings (UGX). Payments are processed via Mobile Money (MTN and Airtel) through our payment partner DGateway. Once an order is confirmed and payment processed, refunds are at the discretion of the cafe partner. beanz.ug is not liable for order fulfilment issues caused by the cafe.
5. Rewards Programme
The beanz stamp card programme awards one stamp per qualifying order. Five stamps entitle you to one free drink at any participating cafe. Stamps have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be forfeited if your account is suspended. beanz.ug reserves the right to modify or discontinue the rewards programme at any time with reasonable notice.
6. Cafe Partners
Cafes listed on beanz.ug are independent businesses. beanz.ug does not guarantee the quality, safety, or availability of any product offered by a cafe partner. Any disputes regarding orders should first be raised with the cafe directly. If unresolved, contact our support team.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: use the platform for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service; submit false or misleading information; use automated tools to scrape or abuse the platform; or interfere with the operation of the service in any way.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on beanz.ug — including the logo, design, text, and software — is owned by or licensed to beanz.ug. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ugandan law, beanz.ug shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order in question.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
